Kansas differed from their American peers for being an American band that dared to delve into the bowels of the British progressive art-rock groups like Genesis. Thus, Kansas is a truly rare hybrid with a concept from British progressive rock more and more American arena rock. It's hard not to admire his ambition manifests. The album mixes a lot of scales and arpeggios, dramatic organ and a majestic ballads. Like his music is more based on the boogie rather than in the art-rock, is not so heavy and also makes a group with a unique sound.
